COLLABORATIVE STRUCTURE
The project is developed by the research group Architecture, Art and Image (AAI) from the Centre for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU) in the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP) and the laboratory Lab2PT (School of Architecture) and the Center Algoritmi (School of Engineering) from the University of Minho.
Pedro Leão Neto is the Principal Investigator of the project, which is structured according to the various scientific contributions: i) the Information and Communications Technology component is coordinated by the CO-PI, Luis Gonzaga Magalhães (Centro Algorimti) and by Pedro Bandeira (Lab2PT); ii) the Art and Architecture is coordinated by Pedro Leão Neto (AAI/CEAU) with the research team: : Iñaki Bergera (CEAU/FAUP), João Carlos Castro Ferreira (CEAU/FAUP), Marco Iuliano (CEAU/FAUP), Manuel Joaquim Soeiro Moreno (CEAU/FAUP), José Miguel Neto Viana Brás Rodrigues (CEAU/FAUP), Susana Patrícia Ventura Rodrigues (CEAU/FAUP), Iñaki Bergera (CEAU/FAUP), João Carlos Castro Ferreira (CEAU/FAUP), Marco Iuliano (CEAU/FAUP), Manuel Joaquim Soeiro Moreno (CEAU/FAUP), José Miguel Neto Viana Brás Rodrigues (CEAU/FAUP), Susana Patrícia Ventura Rodrigues (CEAU/FAUP), Eduardo Silva (AAI/CEAU), Joana Rodrigues (AAI/CEAU), José Barbedo (AAI/CEAU) e Miguel Santos (AAI/CEAU); collaboration team: Né Santelmo (Art director) e Rita Silva (Photography / webdesign).
This project counts with the collaboration of a number of institutions involved in different components of the VSC project, namely the Cultural Associaton Cityscopio, Scopio Editions, the Laboratory of Architecture, Art, Image and Inovation (AAi2Lab), the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR) and the School of Architecture of Liverpool (through the Centre for Architecture and Visual Arts - CAVA). Other organizations that actively support initiatives developed within the VSC project are Metro do Porto, the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT)
Besides the direct participation of these institutions and researchers, this project brings together a diverse group of architects, curators, photographers and visual arts authors in an exercise of joint reflexivity around common concerns about the transformation of territory, public space and the environment. The active collaboration of this broad network of institutional actors aims to enhance their capacity to intervene in their social reality through concerted actions.
