My words, rather than seeing them printed on white, I prefer to supply them through the magic lantern.

The collection of 1001 IMAGES books…
seeks to disclose unique and creative thoughts by means of these individual collections of images and texts often unknown, and capable of unveiling important ideas, life experiences or the author´s creative processes and work. 1001 is a playful metaphor for the underlying power of story telling where numerous smaller stories have the ability to keep the audience engaged. The overall message of 1001 IMAGES should be more than the sum of all the visual narratives coming from each creator and each narrative should be able to draw the reader, giving life to a broader universe of visual narratives of change, which think anew the present and the future.
Thus, we have asked each creator to send us a collection of images, jointly with a text not occupying more that 10 pages in the book. Image(s) and text that are, on the whole, allegories and representations of some of their life time experiences, ideas and / or processes of creation. We ask them for visual stories of their creative work, thinking and powerful ideas for change. Like in a movie, these 1001 images fold and unfold through the book´s pages before our eyes, challenging us to imagine their associated concepts and meanings, as well as how the writings, texts or quotes relate to them and if they might provide the context to bind the sum of parts into a coherent whole that inspire new scenarios and strategies for creative work, which understands the past to better imagine the future.
The biographies are also written by the creators so that each individual collection of images, text and bio corresponds to a personal view being also a reflection of our time.
