RICCARDO GEDA: LIVING IN A BOX

SCOPIO ABOVEGROUND: TERRITORY

On the outskirts of the cities, in no man’s land, where there is neither city nor village, there is a territory that has become salvation for the less affluent citizens, because the cost of living is lower than in the urban centers, and also become an experimentation paradise for architects.

In this land, more frequently every day new families arrive in search of a new home and new possibilities; what seems like a paradise for them is merely in a form of a box, each of them even more impersonal, that can look like anything, but definitely not a home.
All pictures are taken in Madrid between December 2011 and February 2012, the series is part of a big project called “URBAN DÉCOR”, where the photographer reflects on land use and aesthetics and logistics implications.
