Asprela
Asprela
Published on the collection Projects, Asprela is the work of documental photography realised by a collective of six authors, whose object of work is the Asprela's Campus of the University of Porto and its closest urban environment. The idea to go through this collective project of documental and artistic photography came from the collaboration initiated by the investigation group CCRE-FAUP and the NIMAE - Investigation Center of the ESMAE-IPP. The publication of this collective Asprela, was idealized as a space of common edition and had as main concern to create synergies between the six photographic series, fortifying simultaneously the specificity that makes them different and the proximity that unites them. Índices Académicos by António Rodrigues, Where am I by João Leal, Passagem by José Maçãs de Carvalho, Sentimentos, semelhanças e lugar by Olívia Da Silva, Ponto de Encontro by Rita Castro Neves e Consilium by Sérgio Rolando reveal to us six different looks, but simultaneously critical, about this territory. This is a publication scopio Editions edited jointly with FAUP and the ESMAE/IPP.

About this collection
The collection Projectsis the medium of disclosure to photographic projects linked to the Documental and Artistic Photography related to Architecture, City and Territory.
Our main goal is to promote both quality works and new authors that reflect and investigate through the image of photography the thematics of Architecture, being this understood in a general way as a practice and discipline able to integrate the social-economic, political, historical and technical domains. This collection gathers photography projects that integrate the documental and artistic universe in a way to create synergies between them and to allow an innovative reading and comprehension of the territory and the way people, on the contemporary world, appropriate of the spaces they live and work.
The universe of interest of scopio editions is, generically, that of Architectue, Art and Image (AAI) and, specifically, that of Documental and Artistic Photography related with Architecture, City and Territory. SCOPIO Editions has a dynamic structure integrating periodical and non-periodical publications, with the aim of divulging the several works and authors who use or research the universe of Architecture, Art and Image, with special focus on Documentary and Artistic photography, related with Architecture, City and territory, in a critical, exploratory and innovative approach.
